This is available on our website at www.mauiflightacademy.com/groundschool.html Lodging link http://bit.ly/MauiPilotLodging *** One of the fundamental differences of your training versus other mainland civilian schools is the emphasis placed on Angle of Attack (AoA). AoA is the primary instrument used by military pilots for safety, precision and control. Most recently the NTSB, FAA, Boeing and NASA (read the respective report links) recommend that all pilots train and learn AoA, just like the military. When you are trained at Maui Flight Academy, you'll find yourself at a special place. U.S. Navy and Air Force pilots are trained extensively on Angle of Attack from the first day of class, as it becomes the life blood for the rest of their flying career. Utilizing AoA from the very beginning, our students benefit from a proven methodology and safety that sets the foundation of the world's best pilots. For busy professionals we offer a once-in-a-lifetime training experience:
You will be challenged, as high expectations are met. What separates our training ? Every lesson is recorded and analyzed post flight so the student can view any corrective actions or shortcomings that may be affecting progress. A pre-check ride exam is performed at the end of the training. We no longer do solo, or solo cross country training. This program is designed for students doing their training elsewhere and come to Maui to hone their skills and culminates with the "mock checkride". This serves to not only finely tune any minor deficiencies but also serves to calm “check ride nerves”. So that your check ride becomes just another sharing of your highly prepared excellent performance. Another important aspect of our training is that you will be flying the instructors personal Cirrus SR22 aircraft. Not only are you preparing for your license you are also learning how to become a Cirrus owner. *Lodging not included. Transportation is included to/from Wailea area hotels and condos. See recommendations on our Lodging Page.
