As a professional Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) and Cirrus Factory Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) with over 12.500 flight hours and over 11,000 take offs and landings instructed in the Cirrus, he is considered one of the most experienced Cirrus instructors in the world..
Noted clients have been an Astronaut, President of AOPA, scientists, military pilots, a member of Congress, a professional poker player, professional violinist, NBA and NFL players, Silicon Valley executives and many more. Having lived in Maui for over 20 years, you can feel confident that Laurence knows his airplane and these islands.
While earning a B.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of California, San Diego, he studied as a research assistant for the California Space Institute, working under Dr. Sally K. Ride (America's first female Astronaut).
Laurence has also sat on the Board of Commissioners overseeing the State of Hawaii airport system, working closely with AOPA.
